We didn’t land on Plymouth Rock—Plymouth Rock landed on us. The culture of violence and ignorance often tied to our communities wasn’t born from within—it was manufactured by systems that used media to spread false narratives, money to reward exploitation, and social pressure to suppress truth and dignity. Our true identity has always been deeper, wiser, and stronger than the story they’ve told.

After building our values and institutions, we have a responsibility to protect and nurture them—staying mindful of both outside influences and internal challenges that could weaken what we’ve worked so hard to create.

When is the Time for Action?

Is it after your season ends, when the spotlight fades?
Is it when you’ve made it big, when your name’s known?
Is it after you clock out, when the workday is done?
Is it when you’ve taken care of your family,
When your wealth feels secure?

The truth is, the time for action is not later.
The time for action is right now.
Because waiting for the perfect moment
Will never bring change.
Change doesn’t wait.
Justice doesn’t wait.
We can’t afford to wait.
