For centuries African Americans were forced into a culture of survival, each generation facing the same oppressive institution that grows more complex with the advancements of technology. Freeminnds IS the Alternative, you can learn to navigate this racist society or we can create a new one designed For Us By Us.
All institutions begin as ideas.
Once those ideas are accepted by enough people, they inspire action. Action creates organization. Organization builds structure.
And structure, once it sustains itself, becomes an institution (educational, political, economic, cultural) a self-perpetuating pillar of society.
The Movement Phase is the ignition point.
It’s where the core ideas are spread, shared, and understood.
It’s where people align around a common cause.
It’s where scattered energy becomes focused power.
The goal of the Movement Phase is simple:
Embed the idea deeply enough into the culture that people begin to move, organize, and build around it.
That’s how ideas evolve into institutions.
And that’s how a movement becomes a force that can reshape society.
Once the idea is accepted and the people are aligned, the next step is to build.
This is where organization forms:
teams, programs, systems, resources, training, local chapters, cultural practices, economic models, educational frameworks and more.
This is where the movement stops being a message and starts becoming structured.
Goal: Turn the idea into organized action and durable systems.

Control of Thought means protecting your mind from harmful, destructive, or misleading ideas while also cultivating the ability to think critically. What you think shapes how you feel, what you say, and ultimately how you act. Every thought carries energy, negative or false ideas can influence your decisions, behaviors, and even your spiritual well-being.
Critical thinking is the ability to analyze, evaluate, and understand information clearly and logically, so you can make sound decisions rather than being led by emotion, habit, or deception. It includes recognizing logical fallacies, errors in reasoning that make arguments seem true when they’re not, such as appeals to fear, false cause, or false authority. By spotting these traps, you avoid being misled and can focus on what is real, just, and beneficial.
Control of Actions and Emotions is the ability to remain composed, deliberate, and strategic in both thought and behavior, even under pressure or provocation. It is not about suppressing feelings but about recognizing emotions, understanding their source, and choosing actions that align with long-term goals rather than short-term reactions.
Confidence in the Ability to Learn and Teach means believing in yourself to understand new ideas and share them with others. It’s knowing that every time you learn or teach, you not only grow yourself but help your community and society move forward.
Freedom from Resentment allows you to move with strength, clarity, and peace, without letting past anger or grudges control you. Letting go doesn’t mean ignoring what’s wrong or giving up on justice, it means freeing yourself from the emotional and psychological pain so you can stand strong, make better decisions, and take action when it matters most
Identity with a Spiritual Life means knowing you are more than your physical body and recognizing that your life is connected to something greater (a higher purpose, energy, or universal consciousness.) It’s about living from your inner truth and letting that guide your choices and actions.
Courage in the Face of Adversity means standing strong and moving forward, even when life is hard, unfair, or tempting you to take the easy way out. It means holding onto your values, staying true to yourself, and choosing the path of integrity and strength, even when fear, doubt, or temptation try to pull you away
Truth means accepting, spreading, and defending truth itself (raw, unadulterated, and uncompromising.) It’s about seeing things exactly as they are, without bending, hiding, or distorting them. There’s a thin line between truth and everything else; anything outside of that line is not the truth.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. ( 1 Corinthians 13 :4-7)
Life means honoring, protecting, and valuing the dignity and sanctity of all living beings, including yourself. It’s about understanding that life is precious, and every choice you make should nurture it.
